Welcome!
The publicist gnomes have vanished so this
page is written by the evil robot us's (plural of us) and if it's not
hype-y enough for you, well... them's the breaks.
If this is your first time checking us out,
thanks for doing that. We know there's a lot of bands out there you
wish you never heard about, bands that make you very wary of all future
bands you will ever come across. We're always looking for new music too
and we feel your pain ;)
Music
You most likely came to hear our songs so
here's the happy list of links to where you can get free listens and
downloads.
- Here on our site
- Flash player with a bunch of songs from the last two albums, good
place to start
- MySpace.com page - If
you have MySpace, you know that sometimes it's a little less than
predictable, but you can snuggle up to our virtual selves there as a
bonus after listening
- VampireFreaks.com page
- This NYC based site has a lot of our fans on it, so you might like it
too. We put a song on there that's no where else yet, and you don't
need to register to listen so check it out.
- last.fm page -
This is one of my (Crime's) favorite music sites. It's a little
cumbersome to explain, but it's a cross between a net radio station and
a custom playlist of things you like. It's one of the best, easiest
ways to find new bands to listen to that actually sound like something
you should have already known about. That does make sense, just read
the sentence again.
That's all the ones we remember right now.
Drugs n booze. Great for creativity, bad for things like this ;)
Soooo...
Pictures!
That's the other reason you're here of
course. You don't want to come see us in concert and not recognize us
after all. Ok, we know the real reason. Lots of people think ugly
people don't make pretty music. Well, it's not my place to say. Even if
I did say it. Damn it. Where's the backspace button :-P So here's some
places with pictures you'll never find on hotornot.com
- Here on
hateinthebox.com - We've only kept a few of our favorites on here
because there are so many all over the place in peoples blogs and all
that. But they're a great sampling so you can see right away how cute
we can be.
- MySpace.com - Actually,
we should probably put more pictures on there. I think there's one of
me in a pirate costume though.
- The forgotten labyrinth
archive gallery of doom - We had a public gallery thing before the
site was redesigned and forgot to link to it. It's a pretty cool almost
time machine kind of gallery because we never got rid of the older
pictures so the longer you look the more raw the shots get. Those shows
for the first album ruled so hard :)
- Um...Google?
As we tag the photos better more and more will pop in. Lots of fliers
from past shows come up in that. Crossovers we did with other bands and
stuff we had forgotten about.
So let's see, what we sound like, what we
look like, MySpace, last.fm... Oh yeah, the bio
thing. That link will give you some info about we peoples making
the rocking noises you just fell in love with.
To contact us, send email to email@hateinthebox.com
(cleverness prevails!). You can send MySpace messages too, but
sometimes they just let you type a lot and then give you that
unexpected error thing so use at your own risk.
